Senior Business Development Officer - Unmanned Life

About the role

Unmanned Life is looking for a talented Business Senior Officer to work with the Management, Business and Technology teams, providing support enabling the company to achieve it’s contract win and revenue targets.

The Business Senior officer will report directly to the VP of Business and will gain valuable development and experience across the areas of Business Development, Sales, Proposition Development and Commercial Management. The successful candidate would be working on multiple tasks on multiple company business development accounts.

Some examples of the type of work this role would undertake under the relevant company executive are:

• Customer identification, analysis and qualification as well as support the development and execution of approach to enable customer acquisition;
• Partner identification, analysis and qualification as well as support the development and execution of approach to enable partner acquisition e.g. Hardware suppliers, Telco Providers, Telco Equipment Manufacturers, other technology or telco partners;
• Identification, analysis and qualification of organic opportunities (opportunities with existing customers/partners) as well as support the development and execution of approach to enable customer acquisition;
• Sales Pipeline development and management;
• Using customer and partner intelligence to support the design and development of appropriate propositions in collaboration with internal team i.e. Product Management, Technology, Operations and Projects Office;
• Lead on day to day Business Development activities with specific customer/partner accounts i.e., meeting preparation, execution, follow up, meeting minutes etc;
• Provide support, review and validation to Marketing Communications to enhance and promote the company brand whilst ensuring relevancy of communication to customer(s);
• Analysis of software tools and selection for Customer Relationship Management helping the business development department to better engage target customers and improve sales.

Person Specification

• 3+ years of experience primarily in Business Development, Sales, Proposition Development and Commercial Management;
• Experience in the B2B sector, in particular sales or technical sales, would be a big plus;
• Proficiency in English is a must as all the Company day-to-day operations are in English
• Excellent stakeholder management, communications and influencing skills;
• Proven experience on proposal writing and RFP writing
• Analytical in nature and enjoys strategic and business analysis;
• A can-do attitude and willingness to turn their hand to a variety of types of work;
• Highly curious, confident and not afraid to ask questions.;
• A “bring it on” attitude towards working with ambiguity.
• Wants to be a sponge and learn everything;
• Wants to be part of something great that is going to change the world.
